About our South Burlington concrete contractor

Concrete done in the right order
We set out to do your concrete work in the right order, with each step finished properly before the next begins. Most concrete trouble starts when a step gets rushed or skipped, so we'd rather take the care up front than leave you with cracks or sinking later.
Before anyone digs, I lay out your job in order and walk you through it, from digging out and packing the base to the pour and the wait while the concrete cures. That way you know what comes next, when to expect us and what each step is for, and you can ask about any of it along the way.
We're based in South Burlington and work across the cities around it, from Burlington and Winooski to Essex Junction, Williston and Shelburne. If you don't see your city listed, please ask us.
We'd rather move a pour than place concrete in poor conditions, since what happens on pour day stays in the slab for good.

How this business got started
Before I started this business in South Burlington in 2017, I spent years running the schedule for a busy building company, learning the trade on its crews and the timing side in the office.
Running that schedule taught me that concrete leaves little room for fixing a mistake once the truck arrives. The planning has to be done first, so that's where we put our effort, with the site, the weather and the paperwork sorted before anything is poured. It's the side of the job most homeowners don't see, and it's the side I learned first.
The part I care about most ends up buried. The subgrade, the ground your slab sits on, has to be dug out and packed, not just raked level, and it's often the first thing people want to trim. We'd rather spend there, because a slab only stays level as long as the ground under it does.
The people behind the work
We're a licensed and insured concrete contractor in South Burlington, and I've run the business since 2017. Homeowners call us for driveways, patios, steps and garage floors, and property owners call us for footings, slabs and foundations. You'll find everything we do on our home page.
I come out to look at every job myself, and once the work starts, our crew lead runs it on site while I check in along the way. You keep one contact from the first visit to the cleanup, and if the ground shows us something unexpected once it's open, we'll talk it through with you before going further.
How we handle every job
A written estimate you can read
I walk the job with you, take measurements and send an estimate that lists the work and the materials, so it's clear what you're paying for.
Pour dates set by the forecast
We pick your pour date around the weather and the cure, and if waiting is the better choice, I'll tell you plainly and explain why.
Local permit needs checked first
Before we set a date, we check with your city's planning or zoning office about what your project needs, and we help you prepare and file it.
A reply within one business day
When you call or email, we reply within one business day, the same way you reached us, because you shouldn't have to chase us for an answer.
